Hello & Welcome!

My name is Yaakov Gottlieb and as a first-generation Chilean-American, my storytelling journey began at a young age learning how my family immigrated to the US. 

I am most compelled by stories that draw from a complex multicultural perspective. I have acted as director, cinematographer, editor, and producer across various documentary projects and other independent media ventures, and have worked as a professional photographer and videographer in Iceland, Argentina, Chicago, and New York City. My hope is to contribute to work that broadens our collective perspective and brings new ideas to people. 

My documentary La Casa del Migrante was nominated for the International Documentary Association's David L. Wolper Student Documentary award.
